Addiction Education & Training

As Certified Christian 12 Step Teachers, Certified Recovery Support Specialists, a Cluster Partnership with NET Institute, and a member of NRCA (NET Recovery Care Association), combined with years of hands on experiential education, Equipped 4 Service Connection has been equipped with the training and resources necessary to perform onsite seminars, staff and group training, and one-on-one mentoring in Addiction and Recovery related issues.

With professional guidance, addiction recovery is possible. With the appropriate help and continual effort, people dealing with addiction related issues, and addicted family members, employees, and friends, can find hope. The voice of recovery is sometimes silenced and swept under the rug by the stigma that comes with the term "addict" or "alcoholic". Equipped 4 Service Connection understands that advocacy and reducing the stigma begins with addiction education in all areas of our community. We are committed to offering educational services to businesses, organizations, families and individuals throughout our community about addiction and recovery. Through these educational and training services, people learn that addiction recovery success is both attainable and sustainable through continuous education and support.

We seek to create value, and empower individuals, businesses and organizations, to better serve their community as a whole, by offering both faith-based and clinical-based curriculum. We promote healing and wholeness in the lives of people we love and care about.

We share NRCA's vision to: “Save Lives & Extend the Safety NET of Recovery to reconnect people, families, businesses and communities worldwide through addiction recovery resources and training.”

We also share Christian 12 Step Ministry's mission to: "be a community resource providing Bible-based education in recovery and deliverance of substance and behavioral addiction to anyone seeking help, while promoting and protecting spiritual health."

The materials and teaching we use are based on various group formats. Studying with others in a group creates a dynamic process giving value to the experience of adult learners, enhancing the connection to the material and to each other, reinforcing the commitment to learning and in that same process, promotes accountability for the successful completion of the learning process.

By allowing us to "equip you for your work of service" in the areas of addiction education and recovery support services, you will have the unique opportunity to access training materials, and recovery resources that are nationally recognized. These courses are based on books and materials vital to understanding addiction, treatment, counseling, recovery support and faith issues.

Certificates of Completion carry Continuing Education Units (CEUs) recognized by NAADAC, several International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium (IC&RC) boards, plus the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Mental Health Counselors and Marriage and Family Therapists.

The courses have been reviewed by the Florida Certification Board to confirm clock hours and content. Therefore, these courses may be used to satisfy requirements for Diploma Programs, certification, re-certification and re-licensure for Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselors, Clinical Social Workers and Marriage and Family Therapists.

Equipped 4 Service Connection offers up-to-date information about drugs of abuse, addiction, jail and prison research studies, and addiction professional training.
